Source is a solution to the abuse of plastics within the cannabis industry. The industry has depended on plastics due to the nature of their products and ever-evolving regulations. In efforts to initiate a change and bring forth awareness to the devastation of plastics on the local coastline and wildlife, my team and I, a collective of Southern California locals and surfers created Source.

Composited from plantable paper, a biodegradable eco-paper made with post-consumer materials, the Source packages the finished product and houses the source of the product:

strain-specific cannabis flower seeds. In addition, the tube obtains capabilities to comply with child-resistant regulations to maintain the industry standards. Source is not only the package, compliant for the consumer-friendly end product, but it is the beginning of new growth as well.

Directions: Once the pre-roll is utilized, the tube should be planted in soil and germinated to allow the paper to compost away. This will begin the growth process of a true organic and waste-free plant.
